As soon as i got email notification from OpenDesktop.org, as fast I can, I opened the git repo for rekonq browser at Gitorious.com to conform the note. And yes, rekonq has reached version 0.3.90 or as Andrea Diamantini wrote it as 0.4 beta. So, for not wasting more time, I downloaded the current version and rebuild rekonq.
But sadly I don't know what happened with my new rekonq built. It become memory monster. Almost every opened tabs, connection state will have their own kio_file openend. On small test opening more then 5 tabs, rekonq has spamming my memory and using about 200 MB. Whatta he*!@#! And yet, with brute used of kio_file, my disk was almost never stopped spinning. Almost every openend connection makes a I/O bottleneck.
Surely Andrea cs should do something about this. This is so not not good point, compared with 0.4 dependency which is KDE SC 4.4. Yap, you can't build rekonq 0.4 using KDE4 older than 4.4. I'm little dissapointed with this, because KDE SC 4.4 has a lot bug fix including memory management, kiosk operation, etc.
If you want to make a test of beta rekonq, you can download it from OpenDesktop.org.
